The 4thd International Workshop on Next Generation Security (WNGS-12)
Call for Paper
Contact: Co-organizers: Deok Gyu Lee (deokgyulee@gmail.com).
Abstract
The workshop will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of NGS. The workshop will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in NGS. In addition, we expect that the workshop and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject.
International Workshop on Integrated Enabling Technologies (IET-12)
Site : http://research.cs.queensu.ca/IET12/
Call for Paper
Contact : Co-organizers: Fadi Al-Turjman (fadi@cs.queensu.ca).
Abstract
The Integrated Enabling Technologies (IET) is a novel design paradigm that recently gained a wide global attention from academia, industries, and governments. The fundamental concept is to emphasize the ubiquitous computing among global networked devices and physical objects, such as RFID tags, sensors, actuators, mobile phones, etc. Several enabling technologies shape the embodiment of this paradigm, including wireless/wired sensing, heterogeneous networking of constrained and mobile resources, radically novel network architec-tures, computing and control, building together a feasible physical system to support diverse applications, including smart grid, e-health, intelligent transportation, etc. It is hence our aim to focus on both design and implementation aspects in networks that are reacha-ble, or that can be utilized in to providing reachable systems through Integrated enabling technologies. At the same time, we will maintain our open call in topics relevant to IET.
With this spirit, we are soliciting works describing both theoretical and practical research endeavors. We also encourage visionary and experimental descriptions. Short reports on work-in-progress and demos will also be accommodated.
International Workshop on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN-12)
Call for Paper
Contact : Co-organizers: Leong Wai Yie (waiyie@ieee.org).
Abstract
There has been a rapid growth in wireless sensor network research in the past few years. Many novel architectures, protocols, algorithms, and applications have been proposed, built and studied. The goal of this special workshop is to keep a record of the state-of-the-art research in this fast moving area. Examples include fire monitoring, border surveillance, medical care, and highway traffic coordination. Such systems must meet new kinds of timing constraints under severe resource limitations in highly dynamic environments. Wireless sensor networks challenge many classical approaches to real-time computing. Wireless networking protocols, operating systems, middleware services, data management, programming models, and theoretical analysis all fundamentally change when confronted with such new systems and environment.
