The 2nd International Conference on Information Technology Convergence and Services (ITCS 2010) will be held in Cebu, Philippines on August 11-13, 2010.
The ITCS 2010 will be the most comprehensive conference focused on the various aspects of advances in information technology convergence, applications, and services. The ITCS 2010 will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of ITCS.
In addition, the conference will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories, modeling, and practical applications in ITCS. Furthermore, we expect that the conference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject.
The ITCS 2010 is the next event in a series of highly successful international symposium on IT and its Applications (ITA-09), previously held in Jeju, Korea on December 10 - 12, 2009.

There will be a combination of presentations including scientific papers. Prospective authors are invited, in the first instance to submit papers for oral presentation in any of the areas of interest for this conference.
Authors should submit full paper with regular paper with 6 pages and short paper with 4 pages in length. Authors are strongly recommended to submit the full paper or the regular paper for further journal recommendation. The Conference Proceedings will be published by IEEE Press (IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing group) and all papers of the proceedings will be included in the IEEE Xplorer™ (indexed in EI).

About Professor Laurence T. Yang
|

Dr. Laurence T. YangĄ¯s research includes high performance computing and networking, embedded systems, ubiquitous/pervasive computing and intelligence.
He has published around 300 papers (including around 80 international journal papers such as IEEE and ACM Transactions) in refereed journals, conference proceedings and book chapters in these areas. He has been involved in more than 100 conferences and workshops as a program/general/steering conference chair and more than 300 conference and workshops as a program committee member.
He served as the vice-chair of IEEE Technical Committee of Supercomputing Applications (TCSA) until 2004, currently is the chair of IEEE Technical Committee of Scalable Computing (TCSC), the chair of IEEE Task force on Ubiquitous Computing and Intelligence. He is also in the executive committee of IEEE Technical Committee of Self-Organization and Cybernetics for Informatics, and of IFIP Working Group 10.2 on Embedded Systems, and of IEEE Technical Committee of Granular Computing.
In addition, he is the editors-in-chief of 8 international journals and few book series. He is serving as an editor for around 20 international journals. He has been acting as an author/co-author or an editor/co-editor of 25 books from Kluwer, Springer, Nova Science, American Scientific Publishers and John Wiley & Sons. He has won 5 Best Paper Awards (including the IEEE 20th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications (AINA-06)); 2 IEEE Best Paper Award, 2007 and 2008; 2 IEEE Outstanding Paper Award, 2007 and 2008; one Best Paper Nomination, 2007; Distinguished Achievement Award, 2005; Distinguished Contribution Award, 2004; Outstanding Achievement Award, 2002; Canada Foundation for Innovation Award, 2003; University Research/Publication/Teaching Award 99-02/02-05/05-07.

About Hai Jin, Ph.D
|
|
Dr. Hai Jin is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China. He is now the Dean of School of Computer Science and Technology at HUST. He received his Ph.D. in computer engineering from HUST in 1994. In 1996, he was awarded German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) fellowship for visiting the Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany. He worked for the University of Hong Kong between 1998 and 2000 and participated in the HKU Cluster project. He worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California between 1999 and 2000. He is the chief scientist of the largest grid computing project, ChinaGrid, in China.
Dr. Jin is a senior member of IEEE and member of ACM. He is the member of Grid Forum Steering Group (GFSG). He is the associated editor of Parallel Computing, International Journal of Computer and Applications, International Journal of Grid and Utility Computing, International Journal of Web and Grid Services, Journal of Autonomic and Trusted Computing, Journal of Ubiquitous Computing and Intelligence, Journal of Computer Science and Technology, Frontiers of Computer Science in China. He is IASTED technical committee member on Parallel & Distributed Computing and Systems. He is the steering committee chair of International Conference on Grid and Pervasive Computing (GPC), Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference (APSCC). He is the steering committee member of IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid (CCGrid), IFIP International Conference on Network and Parallel Computing (NPC), International Conference on Grid and Cooperative Computing (GCC), International Conference on Autonomic and Trusted Computing (ATC), International Conference on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing (UIC), and served as program chair of GCC'04, SCC'05, HSI'05, NPC'05, UISW'05, UIC'06, FCST'06, and ICA3PP'07, program vice-chair of the CCGrid'01, PDCAT'03, NPC'04, EUC'05, e-Science'05, AINA'06, and CCGrid'06. He served as conference chairs of ATC'06, UASS'07, HICA'07, and NPC'07. He also served as program committee for more than 180 international conferences/workshops. He has co-authored 14 books and published over 280 research papers. His research interests include computer architecture, cluster computing and grid computing, virtualization technology, peer-to-peer computing, network storage, network security. Special Session for Transport Telematics in the developing world
Call for ITCS 2010 Special Sessions
Now we are inviting Special Sessions, which will be added to the technical program of ITCS 2010.
All papers of special sessions will be included in the conference proceedings published by IEEE Press (IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing group) and will be included in the IEEE Xplorer™ (indexed in EI). Selected papers of special sessions can be also recommended to the journal special issues of the main conference.
The Special Session proposals should be submitted to the Workshops & Special Session Chairs:
Prof. Young-Sik Jeong (ysjeong@wku.ac.kr) and Prof. Bernady O. Apduhan (boa93dai@gmail.com) by March 01, 2010.
The special session proposal should include following information:
0. The subject of the proposal submission email should be "[ITCS 2010] Proposal for Special Session"
1. Title of the special session: ex) Special session on {your main theme}
2. Special Session Organizers(s): name, affiliation, address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail
3. Brief description of the Special Session (several hundred words)
4. Expected number of papers to be submitted
5. Call for paper of the Special Session (draft version - 1 page CFP MS Word version)
6. Tentative list of program committee members (Name, affiliation, country, email address)
Each Special Session will start to distribute a call for paper after receiving the notification. Papers submitted to each Special Session should be reviewed by at least three program committee members and/or external reviewers of the Special Session.
Special Supports and Privilege for Special Session Organizer:
If the Special Session is constructed successfully, the organizer (One organizer per Special Session) will get:
- If 8 (eight) registrations are made by the special session papers One Free registration
- If 12 (twelve) registrations are made by the special session papers: One Free registration, and the organizer can recommend a paper to the journal special issues.
- If 16 (sixteen) registrations are made by the special session papers: Two Free registrations, and the organizer can recommend a paper to the journal special issues.
Suggested schedule for special sessions:
