Aim and Scope
The 2010 International Workshop on Bio-inspired computing for Hybrid Information Technology (BHIT 2010) will be held in conjunction with ACSA 2010, 9-11 December 2010, Gwangju, Korea. BHIT 2010 will be one of comprehensive workshop series focused on the various aspects of the convergence of Biomedical Science with Computational Sciences and Information Technologies.
The goal of this workshop is to bring the researchers together from academia and industry as well as practitioners to share various ideas, problems and solutions relating to the multifaceted aspects of Biology, Biomedical Science, Information Technology and their convergences.
Topics
This Bio/IT-convergence workshop will publish high quality research articles which are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in Bio/IT-converged areas of the following topics:
- Biomedicine & Biotechnology
- Bioinformatics & Bioengineering
- Biometrics & Computational Anatomy
- Bioinspired Computing (GA, GP, DNA Computing, etc.)
- Biorobotics & Humanoid Robots
- Medical Informatics (Machine Learning & Data Mining & Visualization)
- Systems Biology & In-Silico Biology
- Computational Algorithms for Biomedical Sciences
- other convergence ideas and applications
The final versions of all accepted papers in BHIT-10 will be included in the special issues of two international journals including Soft Computing (Springer, SCIE-indexed) for full papers and Journal of Information Processing Systems (KIPS, KCIE-indexed) for regular papers. The presentation materials (slides) for the accepted papers will be included in the symposium proceeding.
All papers must be submitted in an electronic format which conforms to the workshop proceedings style and submitted as DOC or PDF files.
Papers must strictly adhere to page limits (8-10 pages for Full Papers, 4-5 pages for Regular Papers).
Papers exceeding the page limits will be rejected without review.
The sample format can be download from here.
